Vice President Shettima Urges National Assembly to Embrace Unity and Bipartisanship

 Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on members of the National Assembly to prioritize national unity and eschew divisive tendencies and partisanship in their legislative duties. He emphasized that collaborative efforts are crucial for addressing the nation’s pressing challenges and fostering sustainable development.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 10th National Assembly in Abuja, Vice President Shettima highlighted the pivotal role of lawmakers in shaping the country’s future. He urged them to transcend party affiliations and work collectively in the national interest.​

“The challenges we face as a nation require a united front,” Shettima remarked. “It is imperative that we, as leaders, demonstrate a commitment to unity, placing the welfare of our citizens above partisan considerations.”​
