Veteran Fuji Musician Clarifies Relationship with Asake’s Mother Amidst Allegations

 Renowned Fuji artist, Musibau Alani, who is also the stepfather of Afrobeats sensation Asake, has addressed circulating rumors suggesting he was responsible for the separation between Asake’s parents. In a recent statement, Alani emphasized that he met Asake’s mother, Fali, when she was already a single parent, thereby refuting claims of any involvement in her previous marital dissolution. 

Alani recounted his initial encounter with Fali, noting that she had already parted ways with her former husband, Odunsi, popularly known as Malo, before they met. He stated, “I met Fali as a single mother; she was already separated from her husband, whom I didn’t know at the time. We got along, and she moved in with me along with her son, Ahmed (Asake). I trained the boy.” ​ns, Alani clarified that he was not present as a performing musician during Asake’s naming ceremony, dismissing such allegations as unfounded. ​

This clarification comes in the wake of recent disputes, where Malo accused Asake of neglecting him during a period of illness, leading to various speculations about family dynamics and past relationships.
