Agbaje-Williams made history on October 31, 1959, when she became the first female broadcaster on Western Nigeria Television (WNTV), Africa’s first television station. Her career spanned decades, during which she played a significant role in shaping the country’s broadcast journalism.

Tributes have poured in from colleagues, media professionals, and government officials, all highlighting her immense contributions to the industry. The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) described her as a trailblazer whose impact would continue to inspire future generations.
