Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade have publicly ended their long-running feud, bringing closure to a dispute that began in 2018.
The reconciliation took place during The Price of Being Her panel at Entertainment Week Africa 2025 in Lagos, where Alade addressed Savage directly and offered praise for her contributions to women in the music industry.
The disagreement between both singers originated from a 2018 social media post in which Alade appeared to criticise unnamed female entertainers for digitally enhancing their body features. The comment came shortly after Savage posted photos highlighting her curves, prompting Savage to issue a warning on social media, escalating tensions between the two artistes.

For years, the rift persisted, with Alade recently saying she preferred to avoid a collaboration with Savage to prevent “problems”.
At the Lagos event, however, Alade took a different tone. In a video that has since gone viral, she commended Savage for her resilience and influence.
“I honestly want you to know that those moments when you get rugged and do what you truly went to do, you are standing up for many females,” Alade said during the panel.

Savage, visibly emotional, was later seen wiping away tears as Alade stepped down to console her. Another clip showed both artistes embracing warmly on stage.

The exchange drew applause from the audience and quickly spread across social media platforms, with many fans celebrating the end of the long-running dispute.
In a lighthearted moment captured on camera, Alade joked about preparing pounded yam for Savage, who laughed and agreed, signalling a friendly new chapter between the two stars.
The reconciliation marks a significant moment in Nigerian pop culture, given the influence both artistes hold and how their rivalry has shaped public conversations about women in the industry.
