President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the Federal Government will deploy all available resources to secure the return of the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls’ Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State.

The assurance was delivered on Wednesday by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, who visited the state to commiserate with officials and families affected by the attack. Shettima, who arrived at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport with APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and other senior officials, described the incident as “deeply distressing.”

According to him, Tinubu’s priority is the safe rescue of the girls, while he commended security agencies for their ongoing efforts. He also confirmed that Brigadier General Musa Uba, killed during a counter-terrorist operation, will be honoured alongside the school’s vice-principal, Hassan Makuku, who died attempting to shield students from the attackers.

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris thanked the President for the swift response, noting that the state is reinforcing federal efforts by supporting security personnel and community protection initiatives.
