The abducted Kankara students regained freedom

The news making the rounds have it that the abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School Kankara Katsina state have regained freedom.

The Secretary to Katsina State Government, Mustapha Inuwa made the announcement stating the 340 students of Government Science Secondary School have been released.
According to LIB, the state Secretary confirmed the release to BBC Hausa in an interview at the evening hour of December 17th, 2020.
According to the
report, the schoolboys are currently on their way to Katsina city and
are expected to arrive there a few hours past midnight. 
BBC further
reported that President Buhari is expected to receive the schoolboys at
the state capital on Friday, December 18th, 2020. 
The boys were abducted
from their school on Friday, December 11th, 2020 by bandits.  
Bashir Ahmad,
personal assistant to President Buhari on New Media, took to Twitter to also confirmed the
news.’

‘The abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School,
Kankara has been rescued, the Katsina State Government has confirmed
the news. Alhamdulillah!”
