The singer explained the sickness started after he cracked his voice and lost his voice. He also said he went to different doctors in Nigeria and was told it was not serious.
Alhaji Tekno as he is fondly called said after trying different treatments, he decided to travel out to the United Kingdom, and later to the United States where he found a doctor who told him he would get his voice back
The singer included that several people in Nigeria told him the sickness was supernatural attacks from his former partners Ubi Franklin and Iyanya. He emphatically said that someone even told him to buy three machetes and goat.
He also noted that he almost lost his mind because nothing makes sense to him anymore, he said: “i couldn’t sing, i couldn’t talk, sometimes they tell me to stay quiet for a week.”
