Tacha Completes 24-Hour World Record Attempt With 145 Makeovers

Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has completed her 24-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in a single day, transforming 145 models within the set time.

The beauty marathon, which began on Saturday, ended at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Lagos. Despite minor technical issues, including a short power outage in the early hours, Tacha powered through, maintaining an impressive pace throughout the challenge.

Her models, both male and female, represented different skin tones and body types, giving the former Big Brother Naija star the opportunity to showcase her skill, creativity, and speed under pressure.

Each transformation was carefully documented through headshots and brief runway showcases as part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, the larger event that hosted the record attempt.

Celebrities, Fans Rally Behind Tacha

The atmosphere at the venue was electric, with celebrities, influencers, and fans showing up to cheer her on. Among those present were Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Dabota Lawson, Soma Anyama, Slimcase, Ice Prince, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.

The 24-hour session wasn’t just about setting a record, it doubled as a celebration of beauty, endurance, and female empowerment.

Tacha, who first gained national attention during Big Brother Naija Season 4, described the attempt as a personal statement about consistency and the global potential of Nigerian women in the beauty space.
