Senate President Godswill Akpabio Strongly Denies Allegation of Assassination Plot by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Labels It a ‘Complete Fabrication’

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has come out in strong terms to deny the recent claims made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly. The senator had accused Akpabio of plotting her assassination, allegedly in collaboration with the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.

Akpoti-Uduaghan reportedly made this serious allegation during a recent meeting with her constituents, sparking widespread concern and media attention. She alleged that there were plans to eliminate her due to her political stance and rising popularity in her senatorial district.

In response, Akpabio, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, issued a formal statement dismissing the allegations as baseless and irresponsible. He described them as “a complete fabrication” and an intentional attempt to tarnish his reputation and distract the public from more pressing national issues.

Eyiboh further explained that the Senate President holds the safety and well-being of all legislators in the highest regard and would never be involved in any plan to harm a fellow lawmaker. He urged the public and security agencies to treat such allegations with the seriousness they deserve but also cautioned against spreading misinformation that could endanger peace within the legislature.
