Rivers State University Vice-Chancellor Completes Tenure, Commends Governor Fubara’s Support

 Professor Nlerum Okogbule, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially concluded his tenure, marking the occasion with expressions of gratitude towards Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his unwavering support.

 Despite prevailing political dynamics, Governor Fubara ensured that Professor Okogbule’s administration proceeded without interference, allowing for the successful completion of his term.

During a special end-of-tenure lecture titled ‘Starting Strong and Finishing Well,’ held at the university’s Senate Chamber, Professor Okogbule reflected on the achievements and challenges of his tenure.

 He acknowledged the governor’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional autonomy, which facilitated significant advancements in the university’s infrastructure, research capabilities, and student welfare.
