As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on Muslims across the country to begin looking out for the crescent moon, which will mark the official start of fasting.

In line with Islamic traditions, the Sultan emphasized the importance of unity in observing the moon sighting, urging Muslims to rely on authorized Islamic bodies for confirmation before commencing Ramadan.
