Qualitative Performance Review PBAT – 6-months Administration

tinubu-at-6-months-6052268
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

HURWA-Human rights writers association maintained that the key appointments traversing the Nation are critical and crucial sectors such as:
Judicial
Economy-finance/CBN
Digital innovations are all cornered by the SW region
SE- infrastructure, Science & technology
SS – oil and gas
NC-health and social welfare
NW, NE Security, Agriculture, Water, Transport, Information

PBAT -Renew hope,8point agenda, policies hitting the ground running have thoroughly increased hardship in the land, though audacious but remain repulsive and reactive, experimental not practical, good thinking without good thought hence there is need for
Restructuring
Recalibration
Repositioning
Results oriented based

As of today most desire cushioning effect of fuel subsidy through all form of social interventions- cash transfer, giving food stuffs has not impacted 63% of monumentally poor people are still languishing in hunger and very angry , vexation is solely on Squandamaniac nature to sustain life style of executive, judiciary and legislatures, more often our States frivolous spending on recurrent expenditure of entertainment is now very worrisome, while only 4States are viable, handful of State in North region making good stride Southern caucuses are stingy and non caring in distribution of cash and food stuffs

Reflection
We now wonder if electing a different party other than APC would have made a radical difference
My opinion
This is capital No, it will be a mere change of leadership styles and policies because there is no distinct ideological difference because all participants recognized that Nigeria is a failed state with a common problem and the same solution professed by APC

Focus on PBAT administration

It is a well known fact that we have an unprecedented inclusion of young Men and Women but how many have pragmatic, innovative ideas that can sustain inclusive governance

We have over 50% of the cabinet are old politicians as political rewards for their assistance not considering their competence, capacity and more importantly their character, all these political classes have no track record of practical solution to our local problems

It is noteworthy to recognize other core professionals who have in the past demonstrated leadership capacity in their chosen field
These include:
Bosun Tijani
Pate
Fagbemi
Wale Edun
Dave Umahi
Betty Edu

The rest have not demonstrated articulated practical solutions to our local problems hence they will be experimental in their implementation drive

Security administration

Despite spending over N12TRN in last 12years subsequent change of service chiefs with current appropriation of 12% Fy 2024 budget

We experienced careless killing by Military using drones to bomb vulnerable s religious worshippers on Birini in Kaduna State.

NSA and security architects have displayed distinct strategies to reduce killings, but they are full of flimsy excuses as they have not addressed symptoms: and root causes through non-kinetic socio-political solutions.

Oil theft

SS region controls petroleum and gas resources, the two Ministers of States are docile and clueless
However, security initiatives have upgraded our production to 1.2mbpd -1.4mbpd which is below Opec target of 1.5mbpd yet we are projecting 1.78mbpd in Fy 2024
As proclaimed by Mele Kyari, we have over 4000 leaks across our pipe line, with over 200 attempts, whilst multi million dollar contract Tatinta is working at cross purpose with Naval command is what a shame

Challenges of PBAT
High divisions where innocent lives are taken by non-state actors that are politically activated to create instability in others to continue to defray our common patrimony

Inability to resolve headlines and food inflation

High youth unemployment

Scandalous debt/revenue ratio

Many IDPs housing thousands of displaced Nigerian refugees living in abject poverty after math of terrorism

Over 20m children are still roaming the streets without reasonable attention across devastated states at epic Centre of violence to upgrade the welfare of indigents

Infrastructural decade – lack of intermodal from road-water-air

Poor funding of tertiary institutions which have activated brain drain Japa where 52% professionals especially Medical practitioner living outshore
We have not settled ASSU agreement till date, likewise poor funding of secondary and primary education, all encumbered with poor school structure and unprofessional teachers manning these institutions

Many youths are in jaw of criminal, drugs, yahoo yahoo+++

Depressed economy and corruption looting of N33trn inherited by clueless PMB administration, we have now recovered by N12TRN, where is the outstanding?

Political manipulation

SW, NW, NE are still demanding for political settlement as political patronage

SE,SS are still shouting marginalization

There is a need for pragmatic action, PBAT is still encumbered and still pandering to the primordial sentiment of plea bargaining to short change Nigeria, there is a need to resolve this tiring and great cacophony

PBAT has the onus to restore public confidence and trust apathy to ensure more balanced stakes

We can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace which we lack and desperately need for Nation sustenance

Our Worries

The current expenditure across three tiers of government is Squandamaniac in an unprecedented manner where they thrive in opulence in their life style whilst populace who thrive in hunger and anger are. often admonished to endure and persevere

Conclusion

PBAT 6months performance is far below expectations, not frugal, no meaningful prudence against a backdrop of our depressed economy

We are spending millions of dollars (trillion Naira) going around the globe to solicit for investment

My view
It is advisable to review current policy through the following
Recalibration
Restructuring
Focus on local investment charities to revive our dead manufacturing sectors, and low purchasing power of Nigerians populace

We need to carry out backward integration to revive our Rural economy our Rural development is completely in comatose with no basic infrastructure this is why we have unsual rural urban migration

CBN must improve significantly on Monetary policy rendered impotent and comatose by belligerent and belliquent administration of Emiefele under the clueless administration of PMB this encourages looting to the tune of N33TRN
CBN to improve financial inclusion, license more Fintech, recapitalize to N1trn national cash capacity
Improve on governance structure
Improve compliance on statutory regulation
Improve on our financial landscape
Federal government to publish key indicators and key performance in line with 8-point agenda to manage key stakeholders of government
