President Trump Expresses Anger Towards Putin Over Ukraine Conflict and Threatens New Tariffs

 U.S. President Donald Trump has conveyed strong frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Trump criticized Putin’s recent proposals, including the suggestion of establishing a transitional government in Ukraine that would remove President Volodymyr Zelensky from power, calling such ideas unacceptable and counterproductive to peace efforts. 

In response to the stalled ceasefire negotiations and Russia’s continued demands, Trump has threatened to impose significant economic penalties, specifically targeting Russia’s oil sector. He proposed implementing secondary tariffs ranging from 25% to 50% on all oil exports from Russia, aiming to exert financial pressure to bring about a resolution to the conflict. These tariffs would also affect countries purchasing Russian oil, potentially impacting global markets and oil prices. ​
