President Buhari sacks Pondei appoints Effiong Okon Akwa as the new interim Administrator of NDDC.

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Kemebradikumo Daniel Pondei as the acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
This was made known by the presidency Special Adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adeshina on twitter. 
In his tweet, he also stated that Mr. Effiong Okon Akwa has been appointed as the interim administrator of NDDC.
According to Femi Adeshina, Effiong Okon Akwa who is also a member of the Niger Delta Development committee and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria will be in charge of the commission till the completion of the forensic audit.

According to Sahara reporters, Femi Adeshina made it known that the development became necessary as a result of the restraining order issued against Pondei the former acting Administrator of the commission by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
“The development became necessary as a result of a plethora of litigation and a restraining order issued recently against the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
