Oyo NLC Threatens Showdown Over Sacked 221 IBEDC Workers

 The Oyo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has issued a stern warning to the management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) following the termination of 221 workers. The NLC has threatened to initiate industrial action if the affected employees are not reinstated promptly.

The controversy began when IBEDC announced the dismissal of 221 staff members, citing reasons ranging from redundancy to alleged misconduct.
