The two Nigerian artists, their manager and team arrested in Uganda have safely made it back to Nigeria.
Omah Lay and Tems with her Manager Awoniyi and others have been announced back in Nigeria safely by the Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa.
The artists were arrested by Katwe Police in Uganda after performing at an unauthorized concert tagged the Big Brunch and flouted Uganda COVID 19 rules and regulations.
The artists spent two days in Ugandan police custody and had a court appearance.
However, they arrived at Muritala International Airport on Thursday, 24 hours after their release documents spread across the social media.
Sharing the news, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Abike Dabiri-Erewa tweeted, “Breaking: Stanley Omah Didia (@Omah_Lay), Temilade Openiyi (@temsbaby), Muyiwa Ayoniyi and others just landed at the MMIA Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time. We are glad they are finally home.”
