Omah Lay and Tems arrested in Uganda for allegedly violating COVID 19 rules

Nigerian fast rising music stars, Omah Lay  and Tems has been reported to be in Uganda police custody for allegedly violating COVID 19 rules in Uganda.

It was gathered that the two singers went to Uganda to perform at a concert and was allegedly reported by some Uganda Entertainment Industry stake holders on the basis that Omah Lay and Tems are foreign Artist. 
In a tweet posted by one of Nigerian foremost A&R Bizzle Osikoya, he said some Uganda Artists has ill feelings that Omah Lay and Tems performed in a concert in Uganda and it’s regarded as illegal. 

So some Ugandan Artists posted opposing the brunch event where omahlay performed and said it was illegal artist because he is a foreigner, shame on you guys #FreeOmahLay

According to the Uganda Assistant Superintendent of Police and Deputy Police Spokesperson, Lukowoye Sigyire confirm the arrest on his Twitter handle that Omah Lay and Tems with her manager, Muyiwa Awomiyi and the Event Manager, Prim Kasana together with the concert venue Manager, Dungu Ivan are in custody. 

Nigerian Artist Omah lay has been arrested by katwe police , the manager of the venue one Dungu Ivan and the Events manager Prim Kasana are also in custody .

According to reports, Uganda government place a ban on all concerts and events due to the COVID 19 pandemic and are yet to lift the ban.
However, some Ugandans, as seen in the images below claim the ban on concerts and events comes with an exception of foreign artist says it is irresponsible of Ugandan government to place a ban on Ugandan Entertainment Industry for almost a year but give exception for foreigners to perform at concerts on Uganda soil.
