Oldest Heavyweight Boxing Champion, George Foreman, Dies at 76

 George Foreman, the two-time heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist, passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76. Foreman was renowned not only for his boxing achievements but also for his successful entrepreneurial ventures. 

Foreman gained prominence by winning a gold medal in the 1968 Olympics. He became the heavyweight champion in 1973 and, after a brief retirement, reclaimed the title in 1994 at the age of 45, making him the oldest heavyweight champion in history.

Beyond boxing, Foreman became a household name with the George Foreman Grill, which sold over 100 million units worldwide.

Foreman’s life journey from a challenging youth to a global icon serves as an inspiration. He is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Martelly, and his children
