The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced the physical verification of academic and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates ahead of the 2025 Batch ‘C’ service year.
In a statement released via its official X handle on Sunday, the scheme announced that the exercise will run from Monday, November 10, to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, across selected centres nationwide.
The verification process, according to the NYSC, is for prospective corps members who had completed online registration but whose credentials are yet to be physically checked. The exercise is part of the Corps’ efforts to ensure that all foreign-trained participants meet the necessary requirements before deployment.

Among the designated verification centres are the NYSC Secretariat in Enugu, the Shadawanka Military Barracks in Bauchi, the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, the Bukavu Military Barracks in Kano, and the Iyana Ipaja Orientation Camp in Lagos. Others include NYSC secretariats in Osogbo and Port Harcourt, the Eagle Officers Mess in Sokoto, and the Federal Secretariat Complex in Yola.

The management explained that the schedule is designed to maintain orderliness and prevent overcrowding at the various verification locations.
“As part of measures to ensure orderliness and avoid overcrowding, prospective corps members are expected to report strictly on the date, time, and venue indicated on their verification slip,” the statement read.
Participants are required to present the original versions of their credentials and travel documents uploaded during online registration. Medical graduates are also to bring their licences, registration certificates, and other professional documents from relevant bodies for inspection.

The NYSC further noted that foreign-trained graduates who obtained their qualifications abroad must present original copies of their evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education, and ensure that acknowledged copies are uploaded to their NYSC online profiles.
Emphasising the importance of the exercise, the Corps warned that only individuals whose documents are physically verified and cleared would be mobilised, exempted, or excluded from national service.
“Only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified and cleared will be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service,” the statement said.
The management urged all affected foreign-trained graduates to adhere strictly to the guidelines and appear at their designated centres as scheduled, noting that compliance would ensure a smooth verification process ahead of deployment.
