Africans especially Nigerians can now receive payment with PayPal thanks to the Flutterwave partnership.

On Tuesday, March 16 2021, Flutterwave announced a partnership with PayPal that enables business merchants in African countries especially Nigerians to receive transaction payment from their PayPal client into their PayPal account.

This is made possible through a new Flutterwave integration system called 377million+ PayPal.

If you don’t have a Flutterwave Account

According to Flutterwave, “Just last year 2020, PayPal‘s 377 million+ users made transactions that saw PayPal end the year with a $936 billion total payment volume for the year 2020. This trillion dollar opportunity didn’t include most African businesses until this new integration between Flutterwave and PayPal.”

HOW DO YOU GAIN ACCESS TO PayPal’s 377 million+ customers?

It is very simple tbh.

“First, make sure you’re a registered business on Flutterwave. If you aren’t, click here to register right now. Follow the prompts to complete your registration.

“Next, go into your dashboard, and follow these instructions on how to enable a payment method. Select PayPal from the list and that’s all.

“PayPal will then be displayed as an option on your checkout and your customers can checkout using that option.

“It’s never been easier to gain access to over 377 million potential customers.

How does a PayPal user pay a Flutterwave merchant?

“As a PayPal user, it’s pretty much a familiar flow. On a Flutterwave merchant’s checkout page, look out for the “Pay with PayPal” option.

“Click the “Pay with PayPal” button, and follow the prompt as it redirects you to your PayPal account to complete your payment as usual.

“That’s it. After the payment, you’re automatically redirected to the merchant’s checkout page as payment is confirmed on the modal.”

All Flutterwave charge for transaction fees is 4.4% of the transaction value +$0.30 per transaction apply.

How do I get settled as a merchant?
Your money is settled into your PayPal account.

To me, this is the best news ever!
