The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced plans to sponsor 2,000 free surgeries for Nigerians as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The medical intervention program, set to commence this year, will provide free surgical treatments for underprivileged citizens suffering from various ailments, including hernias, cataracts, and other conditions requiring urgent medical procedures.

NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, stated that the initiative is aimed at improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations and supporting government efforts to strengthen the health sector. The surgeries will be carried out in partnership with top hospitals and medical professionals across the country.
