Nigerian Law Maker, Desmond Elliot has said the Federal government should blacklist the importation of outside movies so that Nollywood can develop.
The Nollywood on-screen character said the inability to do as such will just confine the improvement of the nearby substance in the nation.
His words, “They have to deliberately and purposefully centre around improving this industry. Treat it like you’re bringing in rice… You boycott all remote substance, making it hard for all outside substance to come in, so your nearby substance can develop.
“And afterwards, you have to help (monetarily) the music business, you have to help the film business… even the comic business also… “
A couple of Nigerian responded also.
Somebody stated, “He lost me at “boycott all outside substance”.. Coca-Cola does not have to contend with Pepsi, there’s sufficient sun for everybody. Work on your image and develop and bolster it.”
Another motion picture fan asked, “On the off chance that they boycott Nigerian Contents in different nations also in what manner will Nollywood Grow universally?
Nigerian superstar OAP, Daddy Freeze responds to Desmond Elliot on the issues says ‘Dear brother Desmond, I love you but I’m not with you on this. I should be able to choose what I want to watch if I’m paying for it, shouldn’t I? Why don’t you strive to raise Nollywood to Hollywood standards and then people will gravitate towards Nollywood naturally”, he opined.
