
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 2,691,021 Nigerians have completed voter registration, combining both online and physical processes, as of December 5, 2025.
The figures show Osun State leading with 208,357 registrations, followed by Kano (159,669), Sokoto (152,650), and Imo (145,561). The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded 106,855 registrations, placing it among the top five.

Other notable tallies include Lagos (123,484), Borno (123,835), Jigawa (116,246), and Kogi (103,750). Registration numbers in several southern states were lower, with Abia (16,691), Cross River (16,822), and Ondo (17,542) at the bottom of the list.

INEC noted that registration in Anambra State was temporarily suspended due to the ongoing governorship election.
The commission continues to urge eligible Nigerians to complete their registration before the deadline, emphasizing that both online and physical registration options remain available in states where the process is ongoing.
