NFF Partners with ValueJet as Official Airline

On March 16, 2025, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) formalized a partnership with ValueJet, designating the airline as the official carrier for Nigeria’s national football teams. The signing ceremony took place at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo.

Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi, CEO of ValueJet, expressed the airline’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience for the national teams. He emphasized that the collaboration aims to provide seamless travel solutions, ensuring teams arrive comfortably and punctually for both domestic and international engagements. Majekodunmi highlighted ValueJet’s dedication to supporting sports development in Nigeria and plans to introduce innovative travel packages and fan engagement initiatives.

Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, representing NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, acknowledged that ValueJet had been assisting the Super Eagles unofficially for over a year. He expressed satisfaction with the formalization of the partnership, noting that players and officials have praised the airline’s services. Inuwa believes this collaboration will elevate Nigerian football both domestically and internationally.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, commended ValueJet’s professionalism, particularly during a challenging incident in Libya in October 2024, where the Super Eagles faced difficulties during an AFCON qualifying match. The partnership is anticipated to enhance the logistics and performance of Nigeria’s national teams.
