The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has urged the Super Eagles to go all out and secure maximum points in their upcoming crucial fixtures against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
With Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign at stake, the NFF has emphasized the importance of winning both games to keep the Super Eagles’ hopes alive. The federation made this call during a closed-door meeting with the coaching staff and players, where they reinforced the need for discipline, tactical execution, and team cohesion.
Nigeria will first face Rwanda in Kigali, a match expected to be a tough challenge given Rwanda’s strong defensive play. The team will then return home to take on Zimbabwe in Abuja, where the Eagles will look to capitalize on home support.
Speaking on the upcoming matches, an NFF official stated, “We have full confidence in the Super Eagles to deliver. The World Cup is not an option—we must qualify.”
With top players like Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, and Kelechi Iheanacho set to feature, Nigerian fans remain hopeful that the team will rise to the occasion and take a crucial step towards World Cup qualification.
