The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has issued an advisory to residents of Afaka, Kauya, and Mando communities in Kaduna State, informing them of a scheduled shooting exercise set to commence on February 26, 2025. This routine military training is designed to enhance the operational readiness and proficiency of NDA cadets.
In its statement, the NDA emphasized the importance of public safety and awareness during the exercise. Residents are advised to remain indoors during the specified training periods and to keep a safe distance from the designated exercise zones to prevent accidents. The Academy also cautioned against unnecessary panic, assuring the public that all necessary safety measures have been implemented to ensure the exercise is conducted securely.
The NDA’s proactive communication aims to foster cooperation between the military institution and the local communities, minimizing disruptions and ensuring the safety of all parties during the training period.
