MTV Base Africa postpone the Mama Awards 2021
MTV Base Africa has announced the postponement of the forthcoming MTV Africa Music Awards 2021 virtual event via their official social media platform.
The MTV Mama Awards as fondly called was formerly scheduled to hold on the 20th of February 2021 in the capital city of Uganda, Kampala.
MTV Base Africa did not disclose yet the reason for the postponement but there have been speculations that it may be due to the fact the host country, Uganda just experienced an electoral crisis.
According to an Uganda Journalist, Arinaitwe Rugyendo he said: “The #MAMAS are still on, the postponement was a decision agreed between Ministry of Tourism and Viacom(MTV).”
