Rapper Meek Mill finally off probation due to new evidence of Police corruption and not just that, he also inked a deal with JayZ to birth new label called “Dream Chaser”.

Meek Mill’s 2008 drug and gun convicted has been overturned by Pennsylvania Court and granted new trial. The Superior Court stated its decision in an 18 page opinion, which stated clearly that if the case were retried Meek Mill would likely be acquitted.
“We conclude the after-discovered evidence is of such a strong nature and character that a different verdict will likely result at a retrial,” the opinion read.
According to CBS, Philadelphia prosecutors could choose to retry the case or drop it.
The 32 years old rapper was arrested in 2007 after an officer with the Philadelphia police department accused Mill of pointing a gun at him and was also in possession of drugs during arrest outside Mill home in Philadelphia.
Mill who’s real name RobertRihmeek Williams denied the allegations but the officer testified against Mill in Court and was sentenced to 11 to 23 months prison time and 10 years of probation in 2009.
In 2017, Mill and his legal team tried fighting the case but the rapper was charged with violation of probation and got sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison.
Mill released was ordered by the state supreme court in 2018 after the prosecutor suspected that the officer who arrested Mill was malicious and that was after Mill already served 5 months jail time.
“The past 11 years have been mentally and emotionally challenging, but I’m ecstatic that justice prevailed,” he said.
