MDAs and Presidency Expend N1.9 Billion on Overseas Trips and Training in France

 Recent reports have revealed that various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), along with the Presidency, have collectively spent approximately N1.9 billion on international trips and training programs in France. This expenditure has raised concerns among stakeholders regarding fiscal responsibility and prioritization of resources.

The substantial funds were allocated for official travels and capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of government officials. While investment in training is essential for effective governance, the timing and scale of these expenses have been questioned, especially considering the nation’s current economic challenges.
