Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is on the verge of a surprise loan move to Aston Villa, with an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Villa has agreed to cover 70% of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wages and could sign him permanently for £40 million.
The 27-year-old is scheduled for a medical today, Sunday and, if all goes smoothly, will complete the move before the end of the transfer window.
Rashford’s exit comes amid a reported falling out with United’s head coach Ruben Amorim, which saw him sidelined for nearly two months.

With Villa recently offloading striker Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr, Rashford’s arrival could bolster their attack as they push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
