He says mental health is a serious issue for him but he did not tweet about it for pity but just to inform the public that it is real and drowning.

He went further, says tracing your step back to recovery is not an easy task, it won’t happen in a day but with the commitment and required treatment, it is achievable.

Nnamdi also states that Africans think mental illness is a myth hence the reason most people facing such a challenge find it difficult getting help as most people see them as being selfish.

Finally, he said he loves his parents for trying to understand but the bad days helps him to appreciate the good days.

Depression anxiety and a Lil bit of suicidal tendencies etc. I may make jokes here n there but i never joke with mental illness. It gets better I promise u, not saying you’ll be good tomorrow or next week, but it always gets better. Not here for pity or attention, just to

Hard thing tho is that Africans think mental illness is a myth????. I love my parents tho for trying to understand. Still have my days tho, but the bad days help you appreciate the good ones. But every day i just laugh. Better to laugh then cry.

I can be a difficult person to read, and communicating can be hard for me when i have a billion and one thoughts going through my head at the same time but I’m trying my best, and you should too.

Meanwhile, i carried out some research online to find a way to seek help for people going through depression and anxiety i discovered Lagos State Government through the office of Lagos State Commissioner for health in 2018, have created hotlines for depression, anxiety and suicidal distress call see call lines below 08058820777 and 09030000741

Congratulations Nnamdi and i wish a full recovery!
