Legal Battle Looms as Court Sets March 17 for Obasa’s Suit Against Meranda and Others

 A Lagos High Court has scheduled March 17, 2025, for the hearing of a lawsuit filed by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, against his former deputy, Hon. Mojisola Meranda, and several others. The suit, which has drawn significant public and political attention, stems from an internal leadership tussle that has rocked the Lagos Assembly in recent weeks.

Obasa, who has been at the helm of the Assembly for multiple terms, initiated the legal action following what he described as coordinated attempts to undermine his leadership.
