The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has vehemently denied allegations that he is stockpiling arms, dismissing the claims as malicious and politically motivated.
Obasa, in a statement issued through his media office, refuted the allegations, stating that they are baseless and designed to tarnish his reputation. He emphasized his commitment to peace and security in Lagos State and reiterated his respect for the rule of law.

Meanwhile, the newly elected speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has also refuted claims that she has resigned from his position. Meranda described the resignation rumors as fake news and reaffirmed her dedication to serving the Lagos State House of Assembly.
