Harry Kane wrote another chapter in his fairytale Bayern Munich career on Friday, scoring twice to become the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a single club in Europe’s top-five leagues.
The England striker, who has averaged two goals per game in the current Bundesliga campaign, reached the landmark in his 104th match, surpassing the record of 105 games jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland.
Bayern marked the first weekend of Oktoberfest with a 4-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena, a win that preserved their perfect start to the league season. Kane’s brace was complemented by goals from Jonathan Tah and Konrad Laimer.

Kane looked sharp from the first whistle, carving open the Bremen defense with Michael Olise inside the opening minutes. His first effort skewed wide, and Arsenal loanee Karl Hein denied him moments later.
Bayern’s breakthrough came in the 22nd minute when Tah flicked in a clever backheel off Luis Diaz’s knee. Kane got his reward just before halftime, winning and converting a penalty with his trademark composure to bring up goal number 99.
The milestone moment came 20 minutes after the restart, with Kane calmly side-footing Diaz’s cutback into the net to make it 100. Laimer rounded off the scoring late on, but the night belonged to the Englishman, who now has 15 goals in eight games across all competitions.

Despite swirling rumours of a possible move to Barcelona or a Premier League return next summer, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund insisted Kane is going nowhere.
“There are always plenty of rumours about Bayern players,” Freund said. “But when you see how much fun Harry is having here and how hard he is working, I think and hope he will be staying with us for a long time. This is the best Harry Kane we’ve ever seen.”
With his current form, Kane looks set to rewrite more records before the season is over, reaffirming his place as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.
