Jussie Smollett family believe the vicious attack on the Empire series actor was not just a common hate assault but a serious racial homophobic hate crime and domestic terrorism which needs to be curbed before it becomes a menace in the state.

In a statement with TMZ, the family says the actor is one of the increasing hate crime victims and they go to say that “Hateful words lead to hateful actions.” This seems pointed at the President, particularly because Jussie says the attackers screamed “MAGA Country” as they left.

The statement goes on … “This was a racial, homophobic hate crime … We want people to understand these targeted hate crimes are happening to our sisters, brothers and our gender non-conforming siblings.”
“These are inhumane acts of domestic terrorism and they should be treated as such.” They also make it clear Jussie won’t be silenced by the attack, saying … “We, as a family, will continue to work for love, equity and justice until it reigns supreme.”
According to TMZ, the family statement was received after President Trump reacted to the vicious attack on Jussie Smollett which the president referred to as a very horrible act but says nothing about the word the attacker used on Jussie “MAGA”
Meanwhile, cops found a surveillance footage of Jussie Smollett walking into the building of his apartment with rope on his neck after the attack and also got a statement from a lady who confirmed she saw a man that looks like a red neck loitering around Jussie Smollett apartment building entrance an hour and a half before the attacked took place.

However, aside from the surveillance footage that shows two persons of interest of the attack which was released few hours after the commencement of Chicago police investigation, the cops still do not have the video of attack.
