American R&B superstar John Legend has shared his experience performing at the high-profile wedding of Nigerian singer Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.

The Grammy-winning artist, 46, was one of the standout guests at the destination wedding, which was held in Iceland and attended by some of Nigeria’s most influential figures. During a recent livestream conversation with popular streamer Kai Cenat, Legend revealed that the event was one of the most memorable weddings he had ever performed at.

Legend serenaded the couple and their guests with his iconic love ballad All of Me, creating a special moment for those in attendance. The guest list reportedly included business mogul Aliko Dangote, members of the Otedola family, and close friends of the couple who had flown in from around the world.

A Wedding Across Three Countries

The ceremony in Iceland was part of a series of celebrations that spanned three countries. According to Vogue Magazine, Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola’s wedding journey began with an intimate ceremony in Monaco on May 9, 2025 – a date that carried emotional weight for the groom as it marked his late mother’s birthday.

Temi wore a custom suit designed by Wiederhoeft and jewelry by Briony Raymond for the Monte Carlo event, while Mr Eazi opted for a Louis Vuitton ensemble. The second leg of the celebrations took place in Dubai two months later, with the Icelandic event serving as the grand finale where Legend performed.

Vogue, which covered the entire wedding process, described the celebrations as a perfect blend of elegance, culture, and intimacy, with each location chosen for its personal significance to the couple.

Social Media Reactions and Cultural Impact

The wedding has continued to dominate conversations online, with fans and industry watchers praising the couple for creating a truly global celebration of love. Temi Otedola herself acknowledged the coverage by updating her Instagram bio to read “Ajibade,” officially taking on her husband’s surname, alongside the caption: “Mr and Mrs Ajibade. Now on Vogue Magazine.”

John Legend’s participation added even more glamour to the ceremony. Known for performing All of Me at private weddings and high-profile events, his appearance underscored the international status of Mr Eazi, who has become one of Africa’s most successful independent music entrepreneurs.

The event also highlighted the growing trend of Nigerian celebrity weddings becoming global affairs, with couples opting for destination weddings and luxury experiences that bring together family, friends, and fans from different continents.
