JAMB Champions Transparency in 2025 UTME, Reassures Candidates Nationwide

 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to fairness and transparency in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede addressing concerns about alleged regional biases in the results. This resolute stance underscores JAMB’s dedication to ensuring equal opportunities for all Nigerian students aspiring to pursue higher education.

Following the release of the 2025 UTME results, some candidates reported discrepancies in their scores, prompting widespread discussions. Prof. Oloyede clarified that JAMB’s advanced examination systems, including biometric verification and real-time monitoring, are designed to eliminate errors and ensure merit-based outcomes. 

He firmly dismissed claims of regional favoritism, noting that the board’s processes are standardized across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. To address candidate concerns, JAMB has established a dedicated task force to review complaints, offering free score re-evaluations and counseling services to affected students.

Additionally, JAMB is enhancing its digital platforms to provide clearer result breakdowns and improve communication with candidates. These efforts reflect the board’s proactive approach to building trust and ensuring that Nigeria’s youth have a fair shot at academic success.
