American pop star Onika Tanya Maraj aka Nicki Minaj disrupted the internet with her retirement announcement.
Nicki is that a joke? The question most of her fans have been asking with no affirmative answer yet.
Queen of the Barbie took to social media to announce she is retiring to start a family. She said “I’ve decided to retire & have my family,”
She later added “I know you guys are happy now,” she continued. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, X in the box – cuz ain’t nobody checking me.”
And she ended her retirement announcement with love for life She said: “Love you for LIFE.”
Nicki Minaj, 36 years old became a household name in 2010 after dropping hit song ‘Super Bass’ which is off her 2010 wild groundbreaking hit loaded album titled ‘Pink Friday’
Since then Nicki Minaj has released couple of hit music back to back which includes Anaconda in 2014, Vava Voom in 2010, The Night Still Young in 2014, Barbie Tingz in 2018, Motorsport in 2018, Beez In The Trap in 2010, Starship in 2010, Pills N Portion in 2014 and Megatron in 2019 to mention few.
Nicki Minaj was born in was on December 8, 1982, in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago but raised in Jamaica, Queens and New York. Minaj grew up in a troubled family with a father who used to be a drug addict but changes after rehab and taking his Christian life serious.
Nicki Minaj has won several awards which include Best Hip-Hop Video for “Anaconda” and “Chun-Li” in 2015 and 2018, she also BET Awards for Best Female Hip Hop Artist 7 times straight from 2010 to 2016 and has been nominated 10 times for Grammy Awards.
Nicki is engaged with childhood friend and Music Executive Kenneth Petty and recently their wedding coming in months.
