IBEJU LEKKI: WEEKLY REPORT ON COUNCIL CHAIRMAN'S ACTIVITIES, NOVEMBER 1 – 7, 2021

The new month preceding the 100 days in the office started on a good footing as the Council Mayor was the Chief Host at the Annual National Youth Day organized by NYCN where the Council Mayor used the occasion to charge the youths on personal development as he pleaded for collaborative support in his administration.

On Tuesday, Associations like the Nigerian Union of Tailors, Radio and Television Callers, paid a courtesy visit as the Mayor took time to explain some of the activities of Government and structures put in place for effective and smooth running

On Wednesday, the Council Chairman had deliberations with the Management staff and the Legislative Arm on matters arising.

On Thursday, the Council Chairman was off to his Ward to attend the ward meeting of his party the All Progressive Congress (APC) where he used the opportunity to charge the party members to embrace unity and work in one accord.

On Friday, the Council Chairman held a crucial meeting with Heads of Security Agencies to deliberate on tactical measures for a safe and secure Local Government.

The same day, the Council Chairman visited Magbon Alade where requests were presented before the Mayor which includes removal of waste heaps along the coastal lines, public toilets for defecation, market restructuring and the St. Peter’s Primary School renovation, all of which the Mayor assured will be looked into and granted the speedy action it deserves.

On Saturday, the Council Chairman commissioned the renovated Lakowe Primary Health Care Center facilitated by the Lagos Business School Alumni Association (LBSAA), inspected the Debojo and Solu Alade Primary Health Care Centers and promised to put the facilities in place for the commencement of operations as these two PHC’s have been out of operations for a while.

The same day, the Council Chairman and his entire team headed to Ibeju township to inspect the ongoing road stabilization project along Governor’s Road en route Iba Road.

We sincerely appreciate the entire citizenry of Ibeju Lekki Local Government for their support in the past 100 days, as the narrative has changed by laying Government’s activities bare to the people. So much have been achieved within the 100 days. 

We are on the pedestal of 365 days as today makes it 103 days.
