Ibeju-Lekki: Weekly report on Council Chairman's activities Nov. 14th-19th 2021

The new week showed early signs of Celebration as the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa celebrated two members of his administration; the Legislative member representing Ward E, Hon. Afeez Ajewole and the Council Treasurer, Mr. Sunday Onabanjo.

On Monday, preparations started early enough as the Council Mayor met with the Management team of the Local Government as we also reported that the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme sponsored by the Lagos State Government kicked off in earnest at the Council Secretariat.


On Tuesday was for visitation from stakeholders of various sectors in the Local Government Area.

On Wednesday, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa visited the Onitedo of Oke Odo Elemoro Iwerekun, Oba Tajudeen Afolabi Elemoro in his palace where he extolled the First Class Traditional Ruler for his foresightedness towards Development in the Local Government.

It was a grand occasion on Thursday as the Council Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa celebrated his 100 days in office as he took time to brief the audience on the achievements of his administration while encomiums poured in from all fronts.

The same day, an ambulance and a vehicle for the Local Security Outfit was launched. The new office Complex for the Council Chairman and his Vice Chairman’s was also launched.


We reported that on Friday, members of the Mobile Medical Team of Ibeju Lekki Local Government were at Eleko to continue the COVID-19 vaccination exercise, while we also reported that as a means of boosting the agricultural sector for commercial activities, members of the Agriculture and Social Services Department visited Okegun Odofin Community for the proposed fish market in commercial quantity.

On Saturday, a two-day training exercise for Environmental Task Force Officers was flagged off by the Council Chairman in collaboration with LAWMA, as he charged the newly recruited officers to discharge their duty without fear or favour and to also help in restoring sanity back to the Environment.

The Olowa led Administration is not relenting in putting Ibeju Lekki Local Government on the world map.
