The week started out with a touch of royalty as the Council Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa together with the serving members of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ibeju 1 and 2 Constituencies, Hon. Mojeed Adebola Fatai and Hon Raheem Kazeem Adewale on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the Kabiyesi Oniru, Oba (Dr.) Omogbolahan Lawal over the demise of his mother who joined her ancestors recently.
On Monday, Hon. Olowa held the usual strategic meeting with members of the Management Staff of the Council on the week’s activities.
Same day, a ground breaking event of cheque presentations to winners of quiz/debate competitions in public schools was held at the Mayor’s office.
On Tuesday, the Council Boss received visitors and dignitaries while he also attended to sundry issues.
We also reported on the activities of the Cleaner Ibeju Lekki Initiative as their actions stepped up in ensuring a cleaner environment.
On Wednesday, the Council Chairman celebrated a foremost traditional ruler, HRM Oba Muyideen Adebowale Balogun on his birth anniversary while wishing him longer years on the throne of his forebears.
We also reported the various road stabilization projects ongoing at Adeba, Baale Ikota, in Bogije.
On Thursday, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa together with all the Conference 57 Chairmen, met with the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu on matters of urgent importance.
On Friday, the much awaited Supervsory Councillors members to form the Executive Committee members of the Local Government Council were sworn in by the Council Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa as he charged them to join hands in working for a smooth administration.
With the ushering in of new cabinet members, the new week will surely be an interesting one.
