As part of efforts to support the Local Government Administration humbly led by Hon. (Engr) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Community Development Association (CDA) members of Ayeteju/Ofiran today embarked on drainage excavation which also includes sand filling some unleveled parts of the road.
The Council Chairman who was highly impressed with the CDA while on the inspection tour,  acknowledged their efforts towards the project as he also committed towards their reimbursement of costs incurred. He affirmed that, if this is being done in most communities, it will help ease the burden of commuters and residents as well, while he expressed the willingness of the administration to partner with other CDA’s on projects of this nature.

The Council Chairman also assured that the attention of the state Government and appropriate Authorities will be drawn towards the abandoned buildings in the Afri bank estate, as it constitutes a security threat to people living in the environment while some faces with unknown identity reside in the buildings.

The ongoing excavation Project will capture areas of Ire Akari Community, passing through Afri bank estate, navigating Ofiran and extending to Onidogbo, as the Council Chairman, Hon (Engr) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa toured all these places and interiors as well.
The 1.2 km stretch of the drainage channels is expected to be completed in a space of 3 days, as rubbles and quartz will be used to expedite actions for road stabilization.
