The Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa today visited Oba Tajudeen Afolabi Elemoro the Onitedo Oke Odo Elemoro Iwerekun in his palace, to pay homage as well as appreciate him for his selflessness and steadfastness in pushing the frontiers of development in the entire Local Government .
The First Class traditional Ruler was eulogized by the Council Mayor as one who has rightly sown the seed of development and who will also reap the fruits thereof.
Hon. Olowa who was accompanied by his amiable Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji and the ebullient Leader of the Council, Hon. Mojeed Olayinka, affirmed the upright stance of the King and gave kudos to the entire Council in Chiefs for their forthrightness in giving out four acres of land for the erection of an Ultra Modern Secondary School in the community. The Council Chairman asked for God’s blessings and wisdom upon everyone supporting the traditional stool.
The Otunba Elemoro, Chief Muniru affirmed the peaceful coexistence among the palace Chiefs and attributed it to the selflessness and cooperation among them. Other developmental efforts of the Kabiyesi on the community includes the siting of the Police Station and the EKEDC Cash office. He praised the Council Chairman for his developmental reforms in Ibeju Lekki and charged him to do more. The Council Mayor was also presented with requests like facilitating a fire brigade station and other social amenities.
The Council Chairman promised to look into requests made as he assured of the Elemoro Road stabilization project to commence soon as well as the Oba Elemoro Cup among secondary school pupils in the local government
Also present are members of the palace Chiefs such as the Lisa of Elemoro, Otunba of Elemoro, Opemoluwa of Elemoro and other Chieftains.
