The Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon (Engr) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa today attended the commissioning ceremony of the Lekki Free Zone Branch of the popular Commercial Bank, STANBIC IBTC.
Speaking at the event, Hon Olowa congratulated the financial institution for setting up their branch in the axis as he believes that the presence of the bank will open up a lot of commercial activities and grow up the financial base of the Local Government.

The Council Boss expressed delight that, with the commercial bank strategically situated along that corridor, the barrier of going long distances in search of a bank has been eliminated. He however made a passionate plea on the need for the bank to put into consideration SMEs and the retail end.
The MD/CEO of STANBIC IBTC, Dr. Shogunle Demola who commissioned the bank in his opening remarks assured that the financial institution is poised for Service as the branch will serve banking and non-banking financial needs in the neighbourhood.

Hon Olowa was conducted round the offices after the commissioning.
Also present are Mr. Zeng Xiang Pei, Head of Investment, Lekki Free Zone, Mr. Omiyi Erons, Head of Operations, STANBIC IBTC, DPO Lekki Free Zone, Supol Uche Gabriel, the traditional head of Magbon Segun, Chief Mufutau Dauda and a host of other dignitaries.
