Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) has strongly condemned the use of force and violence during a recent All Progressives Congress (APC) event in Lagos State.
GRV specifically called on the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to caution the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, over his alleged involvement in the incident.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in a statement, described the use of force as “shameful” and “unacceptable” in a democratic society. He argued that such actions undermine the credibility of the APC and tarnish the image of the party.
He also urged Tinubu to intervene and ensure that those responsible for the violence are held accountable. He also called on the APC leadership to promote peaceful and inclusive political engagement.
The incident has raised concerns about the level of intolerance within the APC and the need for stronger leadership to prevent future occurrences.
