
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has donated ₦30 million to the family of Lt.-Col. Thomas Alari, who lost his life in combat against Boko Haram insurgents in the Timbuktu Triangle.
Presenting the donation personally to the late officer’s wife in Maiduguri, Zulum expressed condolences to the bereaved family and other soldiers who have died fighting insurgency in the Northeast.

“I felt the need to personally extend my condolences on behalf of the government and people of the state,” he said.
The governor noted that the funds would help the family purchase a home, as the deceased did not own one before his untimely death.
Zulum assured the family of continued support, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to assisting the families of fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives in defense of the country.
