Google is expanding the reach of its Gemini AI assistant once again, this time bringing the tool to Chrome on iPhone and iPad after debuting it on desktop and Android earlier in the year.
Users on iOS will soon notice a new spark icon to the left of the address bar, replacing the usual Google Lens camera. Tapping it opens the updated “Pages tool,” which includes Lens and a new option called Ask Gemini, allowing users to chat with the AI about the page they’re reading or switch to any topic they choose.
Once activated, Gemini overlays a chat window on top of the current webpage and can offer quick suggestions for what to do next.

The added features include options such as:
Users can also initiate their own queries in the chat box, including:
The interface also introduces a small “Liquid Glass” menu for navigation and lets users start new chats from the top-right corner while browsing.

For now, the feature is limited to users in the United States, requires being signed into Chrome, and does not work in incognito mode. Google also notes that Gemini in Chrome on iOS is only available to users aged 18 and above and may not show up immediately on all devices.

Despite the convenience, Google urges caution: like any AI system, Gemini can make mistakes or hallucinate information. Users are encouraged to double-check any critical output.
