Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has declared that no humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, intensifying a severe food crisis and drawing global condemnation.
The decision, announced on April 16, 2025, follows the closure of all Gaza border crossings since March 2, 2025, blocking vital supplies and endangering millions of civilians, according to aid groups like Doctors Without Borders.

French President Emmanuel Macron, alongside Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sissi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, called for immediate aid restoration and a ceasefire on April 8, 2025.
