Gaza in Crisis! Israel Defence Minister Halts All Humanitarian Aid, Sparks Outrage

Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has declared that no humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, intensifying a severe food crisis and drawing global condemnation.

The decision, announced on April 16, 2025, follows the closure of all Gaza border crossings since March 2, 2025, blocking vital supplies and endangering millions of civilians, according to aid groups like Doctors Without Borders.

Gallant justified the move, citing security concerns and claiming aid is diverted to Hamas, a group designated as a terrorist organization by the EU and U.S. He also confirmed Israeli troops will remain in “security zones” in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria indefinitely, escalating regional tensions.

The blockade follows Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack, which killed 1,189 and took 251 hostages, prompting Israel’s ongoing military campaign. French President Emmanuel Macron, alongside Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sissi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, called for immediate aid restoration and a ceasefire on April 8, 2025.

Aid agencies warn of catastrophic famine, with over 1.4 million Gazans facing starvation. The Gaza crisis news 2025 has sparked protests and urgent UN appeals, as the international community grapples with the humanitarian fallout of Israel’s hardline stance.
