Gaza’s Civil Defense agency reported that Israeli airstrikes killed 37 Palestinians, including 12 children, across northern Gaza on April 15, 2025, targeting residential areas and a market in Jabalia, according to spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal, cited by AP News.

The strikes, which injured 82 others, followed Hamas rocket fire into southern Israel, with no Israeli casualties, per IDF statements. Gaza’s Health Ministry, updating its toll, said 2025’s conflict has claimed 3,200 lives, with 70% civilians, though figures are unverified, per Reuters.

Israel’s military said the operation hit “Hamas infrastructure” based on precise intelligence, destroying three rocket launchers, per The Guardian. The UN expressed alarm, noting 90% of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents are displaced, with 200,000 in Jabalia facing food shortages, per OCHA data.
