Former Communications Minister Adebayo Shittu Denies Lobbying for Recent Appointment

Adebayo Shittu, former Minister of Communications under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, has addressed speculations regarding his recent appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. In a statement, Shittu clarified that he did not lobby for the position and was not expecting the appointment. 

Shittu emphasized his commitment to public service and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the educational sector. He also highlighted the importance of merit-based appointments in fostering effective governance and institutional development.​
